Guidelines for Submission of Thesis Examination Application and Research Ethics Compliance Confirmation
A. Submission Period: May 7th (Tuesday) ~ May 11th (Saturday), 2024
B. Required Documents:
1. One copy of the Thesis Examination Application Form
(If appointing external examiners)
1-1. One copy
of the Certificate of Employment for External Examiners
1-2. One copy of the Personal Data Usage Consent Form for External Examiners
2. One copy of the Research Ethics Compliance Confirmation Form
C. Payment of Examination Fee: Payment period will be informed later (via text message)
- For Master's Degree candidates: 150,000 won (Internal and external examiner fee: 50,000 won per person)
- For Ph.D. candidates: The fee may vary depending on the number of internal and external examiners appointed (Internal examiner fee: 100,000 won per person, External examiner fee: 300,000 won per person)
- How to verify individual virtual accounts: Portal -> Integrated Information System -> Registration Management -> Other Expense Management -> Print Other Expense Notification Form
Expense Type: Thesis Evaluation Fee, Output Selection: Print Miscellaneous Expense Notification Form
According to Article 7, Paragraph 2 of the Academic Regulations, the Dean of the Graduate School, based on the recommended candidates for examiners (professors, associate professors, and full-time faculty members holding a doctoral degree), appoints 3 examiners for master's thesis and 5 examiners for doctoral thesis. The advisor automatically becomes an examiner. However, for master's theses, 1 out of the 3 examiners and for doctoral theses, 2 out of the 5 examiners can be from other departments or external professors (including researchers).
