[Graduation] Mandatory Research Ethics Education for Thesis Submission

Starting from the second semester of the 2024 academic year, all graduate students intending to submit their master's or doctoral thesis must complete research ethics education.
1. Purpose of Education
- To foster an understanding of research ethics that must be observed during the conduct of research and the presentation of research results.
- To prevent research misconduct, including fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and improper authorship designation.
2. Method of Education
- Enroll in the "Research Ethics for Graduate Students" course available on the Incheon University Learning Management System.
3. Target Audience: Graduate Students
- Completion of the education is mandatory before submitting the thesis research proposal (Submission period: September 23–28).
- However, students planning to submit their thesis application in the second semester of 2024 must complete the education before submitting the thesis application form (Submission period: October 28–November 2).
※ Students requiring Institutional Review Board (IRB) review should proceed according to the Incheon University IRB review system manual.

- After registering, upload the completion certificate [Completion of Incheon University Institutional Bioethics Education (in-person) or Completion of Human Subject Researcher Education from the National Bioethics Policy Institute (online)].
- Proceed with review or request for exemption.
