Guidelines for Submitting Research Proposal for Degree Thesis (2024 - 1st Semester)
 

I. Submission Targets and Notes:

Targets: Research proposal submissions are required for students pursuing a Master's Degree (3rd semester) or PhD (5th semester).

 

· Submission of research proposal and presentation feedback (발표의견서) is mandatory.

· Research proposal presentations are public presentations. (Presentation date: to be announced)

· To be able to submit the thesis for evaluation the submission of research proposal presentation feedback for the respective semester is required. Master's Degree (4th semester), Ph.D. (6th semester).

※ Failure to submit presentation feedback will result in the inability to submit a thesis in the following semester, requiring resubmission of the research proposal.

 

II. Submission of Thesis Research Proposal

1.  Submission Period: March 25th (Mon) to March 30th (Sat), 2024.

2.  Eligibility: Candidates who have acquired 15 or more credits for Master's degree, and 27 or more credits for Ph.D. degree (Master's 3rd semester or higher, Ph.D. 5th semester or higher).

3.  Submission Method: Online application through the Integrated Information System (통합정보시스템).

·   Integrated Information System -> Academic Administration -> Graduation -> Research Proposal Management -> Application for Research Proposal

·   The upload of Research Proposal and Research Ethics Education Completion Certificate is required for approval.

 

Per the obligation to complete research ethics education when applying for the submission of a research proposal, the submission of a completion certificate of one of the following is mandatory:

KRD (National Institute of Science and Technology Development).
Portal e-learning education.
Completion of research ethics education during extracurricular periods.

Choose one of the following methods for completing research ethics education: Option , , or . Please refer to attachments 6-1 and 6-2

Access to KIRD_Alpha Campus through 'Chrome' browser is recommended.
※ For portal e-learning education, instead of a completion certificate, please attach a screenshot of the online attendance record.

E-learning site -> Self-paced Courses -> Search for 'Research Ethics' -> Apply for the relevant course -> Complete the enrollment application -> Start the course after completing the application.

 

4.  Documents Submission: Print out the research proposal application form from the portal application screen and submit one copy (advisor's signature or stamp included).

The submission of the research proposal and certificate of completion of research ethics education is not required (upload attachments when applying through the portal).

 

5.  Submission Method: Submit to the Administration Office (Room 409, Building 14) or via email (jiyeong@inu.ac.kr).

If the content of the research proposal has been reviewed and confirmed by the advisor, the application can be submitted without the advisor's signature. However, a comment indicating that the content of the research proposal has been reviewed and confirmed by the advisor must be included (via email).
