Guidelines for Thesis Examination Application and Research Ethics Compliance Confirmation


A. Submission Period: May 7 (Wednesday) May 12 (Monday), 2025

 

B. Required Documents (to be submitted to the Administrative Office)

 

    1. Application for Thesis Examination (one copy)

 

       (If an external examiner is appointed, additionally submit the following)

 

        1-1. Certificate of Employment (one copy)

 

        1-2. Personal Data Usage Consent Form (one copy)

 

     2. Research Ethics Compliance Confirmation Form (one copy)

 

C. Examination Fee Payment: Payment period and details will be notified separately via text message.

 

- Master’s Degree: 150,000 KRW (50,000 KRW per internal/external examiner)

 

- Doctoral Degree: Variable based on the number of appointed examiners (Internal Examiner: 100,000 KRW per person, External Examiner: 300,000 KRW per person)

- Payment Verification: Portal Integrated Information System Academic Administration Payment Miscellaneous Costs Other Bills/Receipts Print Expense Notification

 

Expense Category: Thesis Evaluation Fee | Print Option: Print Bill (고지서)

 

※ According to Article 7, Paragraph 2 of the Academic Regulations, The Dean appoints 3 examiners for master’s theses and 5 for doctoral theses from among the proposed candidates (professors, associate professors, or full-time faculty members with doctoral degrees). The student ’s academic advisor is automatically included as an examiner. However, for master's theses, 1 out of the 3 examiners and for doctoral theses, 2 out of the 5 examiners can be from other departments or external professors (including researchers).
