Application for Degree Thesis Submission – 2025 Fall Semester


The following notice is to inform you of the application process for the submission of degree theses for the 2025 Fall Semester. Please carefully review the following information and submit your application within the designated period.

 

★ From the 2025 Fall Semester onward, students who wish to submit a degree thesis must complete the “Research Ethics Education” course. 

 Students who have already submitted a Certificate of Completion for Research Ethics Education when applying for the research proposal are exempt from this requirement.

    Students who have not yet completed the course must take the education program, obtain the completion certificate, and attach it to the thesis application.


 For those subject to Institutional Review Board (IRB) review, please note that the review process may take approximately three (3) weeks. Plan accordingly to ensure sufficient time for review.


Note: The Research Ethics Education and the IRB Education are separate programs. Be sure to complete and verify both where applicable.

 Eligibility

  • Master’s students in their 4th semester

  • Doctoral students in their 6th semester or beyond

  • Registered research students


 Application Qualifications
(Based on Article 6 of the Regulations on Degree Theses of the Graduate School of Logistics, Incheon National University)

- Common Requirements: Must have passed both the foreign language test and the comprehensive examination.

- Master’s Program: Must have completed at least 21 credits with a minimum GPA of B or above.

- Doctoral Program: Must have completed at least 33 credits with a minimum GPA of B or above.

○ Application Period: October 27 (Mon) – November 1 (Sat), 2025


○ Application Procedure:
Access the University Portal Website → Integrated Information → Academic Administration → Graduation → Graduate Thesis Management → Thesis Submission Application → Click “Add” → Fill out the red-marked fields and upload the required files → Submit.


○ Attachment Required:

Upload the Thesis Research Progress Report (연구진행서 논문진행상황표) on the application page.
* When entering the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd research schedule dates, ensure that they span at least two semesters.

 Preliminary (Draft) Submission for the First Review

Preliminary Review Period: November 24 (Mon) – December 5 (Fri), 2025
Submit the draft copy of your thesis to the review committee members based on your assigned preliminary review date.
- Doctoral students: At least 7 days prior to the preliminary review date.
- Master’s students: At least 5 days prior to the preliminary review date.
Submit the draft in PDF format via email to each reviewer.
(If an external reviewer requests a printed copy, the administrative office will send it by mail.)

※ Doctoral Students – Additional Requirement

※ Doctoral students must upload two (2) journal publications or certificates of acceptance before the final review.

Submission Method:
Portal → Integrated Information → Academic Administration → Graduation → Doctoral Thesis Management → Apply → Attach the published papers or acceptance certificates → Save.

- Both papers must be submitted by the second (final) review period. Final Review Period: December 22 (Mon) – December 26 (Fri), 2025.
