<2026-1 Notice on Application for the Thesis Research Proposal for Degree Thesis>

1. Submission Requirements and Important  

     - Students who must submit a research proposal: Master’s program (3rd semester) and Doctoral program (5th semester) students are required to apply for research proposal and submit the presentation opinion form.

     - The research proposal presentation will be an open presentation and the presentation schedule will be announced later (Presentation period: April 13 (Mon) – April 24 (Fri)).

     - Students must submit the presentation opinion form in the same semester in order to be eligible to submit their thesis in Master’s 4th semester or Doctoral 6th semester. 

        ※ If the presentation opinion form is not submitted, thesis submission in the following semester will not be allowed, and the research proposal must be submitted again. 

2. Application for the Research Proposal for Degree Thesis 

    1) Application period : 2026. 3. 23.(Mon) ~ 3. 28.(Sat) 

    2) Eligible Applicants : Master’s students who have completed 15 credits or more, Doctoral students who have completed 27 credits or more (Master’s 3rd semester or above, Doctoral 5th semester or above).

    3) Application Method : Student online application through the Integrated Information System 

        - Integrated Information System → Academic Administration → Graduation → Research Plan Management → Research Proposal Application

        - Fill in Thesis Title (Korean) and Thesis Title (English) (※Title of the thesis research proposal for the degree thesis).

        - Enter Expected Research Start Date, Expected Research Completion Date, and Research Ethics Training Completion Date (※The research start/completion dates should be entered across two semesters).

        - The following files ① Research Proposal and ② Certificate of Completion for Research Ethics Training must be uploaded as required attachments!! in order to receive "Approval"

      

<Notice on Mandatory Research Ethics Training for Students Submitting Degree Theses>  [Refer to Attachment 4]    ※  The training must be completed before applying for the research proposal submission.        Reference link:  ★(졸업) 학위청구논문제출자 연구윤리교육 의무화 안내★   1. Since completion of research ethics training is mandatory when applying to submit the research proposal, tudents must complete the training through one of the following methods:     ① Portal E-learning Course      ② KRD (Korea Institute of Human Resources Development in Science and Technology)     【Choose only 1 of the ①,② methods above】 ※ For KIRD_Alpha Campus for Science & Technology the Chrome browser is recommended ※ For the Portal E-learning course instead of a certificate, please capture the online attendance status from the attendance list and submit it as an attachment.    E-learning site-> Self-directed Courses -> Search '연구윤리' -> Register for the course -> Take the course after registration is completed.   2. For students subject to review related to Institutional Review Board (IRB): Please proceed with the review according to the Incheon National University IRB Review System Manual (Please refer to the link above. IRB-related documents do not need to be submitted separately.)

     4) How to write the Research Proposal : Please refer to the guideline file. The format is free-form, 

     5) When selecting the research proposal topic and writing the content, please make sure to discuss it with your academic advisor.
